Tulsa Midnight Basketball is a non-profit outreach and educational Basketball program for youth ages 12-18 who reside in the service area of the South Tulsa Community House.* The program includes nutrition services, faith based life -skills education and organized team basketball.

Tulsa Midnight Basketball is located at the Spirit Life Church Gymnasium located at 5345 S. Peoria, Tulsa. The Basketball portion of the program will be coordinated by local college and high school coaches. Local Police Officers and Firemen will be active participants with all teams. Former ORU head Coach Scott Sutton is our Honorary Director.  

Our 2017 Pilot program will be from June 16- August 4 on Friday nights. (8 weeks). The program will begin at 5 p.m. with a meal followed by a workshop and basketball. The program will end at 8 p.m.  Please be on time at 5 p.m. The first 60 kids to sign-up by emailing info@tulsamidnightbasketball.com or calling 918-645-7841 will be enrolled. A waiting list will be established beyond 60 kids.

The program is designed to prepare these at-risk youth for life survival and spiritual growth and include a wide variety of speakers and professionals to share life experiences. The program is free to all participants.

National Midnight Basketball League Chapters are in over 54 U.S. cities and boast statistics of consistent reduced crime percentages since Midnight Basketball Leagues began. Tulsa Midnight Basketball is locally funded through private citizens, foundations and corporations. Tulsa Midnight Basketball is a component fund of the Tulsa Community Foundation, a 501c(3) organization and all donations are tax-deductible.

By participating in Tulsa Midnight Basketball, you are learning valuable life skills that will help you become responsible and productive citizens of your community. You will learn Christian principles to rely on for coping mechanisms and building inner strength and character. You will meet new friends and develop friendships with coaches, mentors, policemen and firemen.

*The South Tulsa Community House service area is from 51st Street to 71st Street from the Arkansas River to Lewis Avenue.
